SANTA ANA, Calif. (January 24,
2005) The Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California has announced that the following graduates of William Howard Taft University’s Juris Doctor Program have passed the July 2004 California General Bar Examination:
| Doneil John Hoekman |
Gilroy, California |
| Juan Hong |
Irvine, California |
| Bo R. Lee |
Los Angeles, California |
| John Nicholas Vitale |
Morganville, New Jersey |
| James Henry Vanek |
Rocky Point, NY |
They join nearly 150 other Taft University graduates who have become attorneys through directed independent study. David L. Boyd, president of the University, praised the efforts of the graduates, “These individuals deserve admiration for their dedication and persistence. Anyone who can complete four years of independent law study is a very impressive student. While we’re proud of our law school’s history on the bar examination, much of the credit must go to the graduates. Our faculty can provide the map for success but it’s the student who must devote the time to study.”
Individuals passing the General Bar Examination and the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination and who have received positive moral character determinations become licensed attorneys by taking the Attorney’s Oath.
