or decades the institution currently known as Taft Law School has offered distance learning law programs to qualified students around the world. It is America's oldest nationally accredited distance learning law school.

    Taft Law School was formed to offer unique and innovative distance learning educational programs in law at a reasonable cost to qualified applicants, with a particular focus on those who are mature adults, employed on a full-time basis, or for whom place of residence, travel requirements, or finances are constraining factors. It has been fulfilling this mission since 1984.

     Certain programs utilize a telecommunications learning modality while others employ an independent study learning modality. (In the Juris Doctor Programs, students can select either system.)
