American Disabled Access Association

The Taft University System is proud to be a founding sponsor of the American Disabled Access Association (the ADAA), a non-profit developmental stage organization. From the ADAA’s incorporation on October 28, 2011, The Taft University System has devoted many hours of service to the ADAA in addition to making cash contributions in excess of $50,000.00. A percentage of future revenues will also be contributed.

After a lengthy application process, on January 31, 2013 the ADAA was awarded tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service. Going forward, The Taft University System, Taft Law School and William Howard Taft University look forward to assisting the ADAA in fulfilling its Mission.

The Mission of American Disabled Access Association is:

  • To conduct onsite evaluations of public venues with the goal of working with venue management to provide a safer and more enjoyable experience for mobility challenged individuals;
