On February 2, 2006 the Colorado Commission on Higher Education approved the University to operate in the state as a degree granting institution under the Colorado Degree Authorization Act.

David L. Boyd, president of the University, stated that the University plans to establish a permanent physical presence in Denver during 2006. Initially, this office will be utilized for recruiting, student counseling and serve as a facility for students to defend their thesis’s or final project.
